One fee. No hidden margins.
Most golf travel is sold in packages, with the planner's compensation buried inside your hotel rate and green fees. Linksbound works the other way: you pay one visible planning fee, and I answer to no one but you. Every recommendation on your itinerary is there because it's right for your trip, not because a supplier pays better.
When to start, and how engagements run
The honest timelines: a Scotland or UK trip is best planned a year ahead of departure, which is when the marquee tee times and the good hotels in golf towns open and go. Domestic trips reward six months, and Bandon in peak season deserves more. The planning engagement itself is the easier part: once we start, your itinerary comes together over a few weeks for domestic trips and a couple of months for Scotland, with two rounds of refinement and a pre-departure review included.
If your trip is closer than that, ask anyway. Later starts narrow the options; they don't always close them, and the consultation will tell you honestly what's still gettable.
The Trip Book
Every bespoke engagement ends with a document, and the document is the point. Your trip book holds the complete journey: every tee time confirmed, every transfer booked with pickup times, every dinner reserved, drive routes with realistic timings, contact sheets for every course and hotel, and contingency plans for the moments that need them. It's the trip, on paper, before you take it.
A straight answer about St Andrews
The Old Course allocates most visitor tee times through a ballot and an advance application, and a small circle of authorized operators holds guaranteed access at a significant premium. This is where strategy earns its keep: entering the ballots correctly, timing the applications, and building an itinerary strong enough to succeed whichever way the draw breaks. A well-built strategy gives you real odds, and a well-built trip is great either way. And if a guarantee is non-negotiable for your group, I'll tell you exactly what it costs and who provides it, because the right answer is the one that's right for your trip.
Booking and fine print
Fees are due at engagement and are non-refundable once planning begins. You may book all travel yourself using your itinerary, or ask me to handle the bookings; the fee is identical either way. When I book on your behalf, your payment details are collected once through a secure, PCI-compliant authorization platform with your signed approval; charges go on your card, directly to the suppliers, so your points, purchase protections, and visibility stay yours, and Linksbound never sees or stores a card number. Founding client rates shown above apply to my first clients in exchange for a detailed testimonial; list pricing ($250 / $700 / $1,895 / $350) takes effect thereafter, and engaging early is, frankly, the best deal this company will ever offer.
Request a Personalized Consultation
Ninety minutes about your group, your golf, and the trip you have in mind, ending with a written framework you keep either way. The $200 credits in full toward your planning fee, so deciding to start costs nothing extra. The worst case is you leave with a better plan.
